I have spent YEARS trying to find the best homemade chili recipe. After trying many recipes that claimed to be the “best” that fell short and lots of trial and error, I have finally perfected the best chili. It’s soooooo delicious and is a crowd-pleaser that will keep your boyfriend (or yourself) coming back for seconds, thirds, fourths, and leftovers. The best part? It’s an easy 30-minute chili recipe! I could not hype this recipe up enough, so let’s get to it!!
Altogether, this recipe only costs about $25-30 (if you have seasonings already on hand)!! I try and use all organic ingredients as well so this is a STEAL for how good this is for your pocket and your belly. It also feeds an entire family (around 10 people)… so my household of 2 can freeze our leftovers or eat what’s left for lunch the next day.
How to make this easy 30-minute chili:
- Dice your onion and 3 peppers (2 bell and 1 jalepeno) and set aside
- Begin browning your ground turkey in your chili pot on medium heat
- Once your about halfway done with browning the meat, throw in your onions and peppers and continue cooking until the veggies are soft and your meat is cooked through.
- Add in your seasonings and stir (Paprika, chili powder, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, bay leaves, salt)
- Add in your beans, sauces, and water (kidney beans, chili beans, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, water)
- Mix mix mix it all together!
- Once it returns to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- After cooking for 30 minutes you’re done! Enjoy 🙂
- Note: I like to enjoy with grilled cheese on sourdough bread. I use muenster + cheddar cheese! I also serve with diced jalepenos, sour cream, crackers and shredded cheese.
