The Best Espresso Martini Recipe You’ll EVER Drink

I’ve had my fair share of espresso martinis. Some were really good… and some are not to be spoken of ever again (let’s just say lemon peels DO NOT belong in them). Throughout the countless espresso martinis I’ve tried across the US, I’ve grown to learn why certain ones are the best and why others fall short. So what’s the secret sauce? Creme liquor. Instead of going out to try all of the tini’s in your town, I wanted to share the best espresso martini recipe you’ll ever drink (and I don’t take that statement lightly). It’s better than any that I’ve had at fancy restaurants!

I always wondered “how do you make an espresso martini?” and thought it would be super hard and complex. It’s actually easier than most cocktail recipes! You seriously will only need 3 ingredients. This is a super simple espresso martini recipe. We had some friends over the other night and made at least 10 of these. Even the guys kept asking for more! It’s THAT good.

The best espresso martini recipe ingredients:

  • Cocktail shaker – I use this one from West Elm
  • Espresso – I use my Nespresso machine with the Orafio pods
  • IRISH Creme liqueur – I use the Five Farms brand (major ingredient in the recipe!! do NOT use baileys!!)
  • Your fav tequila
  • Optional: coffee beans for varnish

How to make this simple espresso martini:

  1. Start by making your espresso so that it’s ready to go
  2. Add ice into your cocktail shaker
  3. Pour 1 oz tequila into your shaker
  4. Pour 2 oz creme liqour into your shaker
  5. Add the espresso shot into your shaker
  6. SHAKE vigourosly for 30ish seconds!! This is KEY!! By shaking hard, you’re creating the best and foamiest froth will make your martini the best
  7. Wah-lah – pour your mixture into your boujee-est martini glass and enjoy! Be sure to filter out the ice & add garnish if you please. Cheers!

I hope you all loved this easy espresso martini recipe! Let me know if you think it’s the best espresso martini recipe you’ve ever had! Would love to see how they turned out for you all.
