We all know and love the infamous feather pajamas worn by the Kardashians, Millie Bobby Brown, Brie Larson, Emily in Paris, and many many more. What most of us don’t love is the $320.00 price that comes with them! So, I was determined how to make my own DIY feather pajamas.

I’m a huge homebody and wanted to look chic for half the cost for my cozy nights in so I found the perfect way to easily make them for less than FIFTY DOLLARS. Yep, you can save over $250 dollars and make them on your own. It’s crazily easy and looks identical to the ones your favorite celebrities are wearing.

Here’s how to do your own DIY feather pajamas:

To start, you’ll need these items to make the pajamas

• Black Silk Pajamas from Amazon (less than $30!)
• 2x Ostrich Feather Trim from Amazon (less than $15!)
• Black safety pins (so you can remove the feathers and wash the pajamas as needed)
• If you’re a skilled sewer, you could opt for getting a sewing kit and add buttons to easily remove the feathers. In the interest of time, I did the safety pin method instead.
• Dress them up with these heels from Amazon
• Dress them cozy with these slippers

How to make them (takes less than 30 minutes!)

• Start by measuring the cuffs of the sleeves of the pajamas
• Then, cut the trim for each sleeve. You’ll need 3 layers of feathers for each sleeve. So, that is 12 strips of feathers for the top and bottom.
• Attach the feathers just above the hem on the cuff of the pajamas.
  • I used black safety pins to attach the 3 layers to each sleeve. It was super easy and allows them to be easily removed when I need to wash them.
  • You don’t want to attatch them to the bottom. Having the feathers above the cuff allows the black cuff add dimension to the feathers (and not show your skin beneath them).
